Perelada, official wine supplier to new York Yacht club American magic.
The winery reaffirms its commitment to the international projection of the Perelada brand and the Empordà Designation of Origin.
Perelada (Empordà Designation of Origin) announces that it will be the official supplier of wines and cavas to New York Yacht Club American Magic. The American team will compete in the 37th America's Cup sailing competition which starts in Barcelona next August. The team represents the New York Yacht Club, which has won this competition the 25 times. The America’s Cup has been declared an exceptional event of public interest and can be followed online and in media broadcasts all over the world.
The sponsorship agreement is a further step in the winery's commitment to promoting the Perelada brand and the Empordà Designation of Origin worldwide. The company now sells its wines and cavas in more than 70 countries, including the USA, and just a few weeks ago it was rated the 43rd most admired winery in the world, according to the prestigious annual ranking published by the renowned industry magazine Drinks International.
As the official supplier, Perelada wines and cavas will be present in the hospitality areas for the supporters and guests of the men’s and women’s teams. The crew has already arrived in Barcelona, and the boat in which they will compete will be christened with a Perelada cava.
The America's Cup is the ultimate sailing competition and the most prestigious in the world and achieves large viewing figures in countries including the USA. It is always organized by the winner of the previous edition, which in this case is New Zealand. The opening ceremony will take place on August 22nd, followed by the Preliminary Regatta and the Challenger Selection Series, leading up to the final which will be held from October 12th to 20th.
