Champagne Laurent-Perrier is the first champagne to be awarded the Royal Warrant as champagne supplier to His Majesty the King.

Champagne Laurent-Perrier is proud to announce that King Charles III has awarded it the prestigious Royal Warrant, making it the first Maison to do so. This accredits the brand's esteemed status as a supplier of champagne to the Royal Household.

This independent, family-owned Maison, whose rich heritage dates back to 1812, is committed to producing the finest champagnes using sustainable practices, making it the ideal choice to receive a Royal Warrant. It is also the only one to hold the Royal Warrant of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

Alexandra and Stéphanie de Nonancourt, family owners and members of the board of Champagne Laurent-Perrier, said: ‘At Champagne Laurent-Perrier we are deeply honoured by the award of the Royal Warrant by His Majesty the King. This award reaffirms our long-standing relationship with His Majesty, which began in 1979, when he visited Laurent-Perrier with Lord Mountbatten on the occasion of the ‘United Schools of the World’ with our father'.

In receiving a Royal Warrant from His Majesty the King, the Maison joins an illustrious group of suppliers to the Royal Household, further cementing its position as one of the world's most prestigious champagne houses.

Champagne Laurent-Perrier: Innovator since 1812

Maison Laurent-Perrier, originally founded in 1812, has played a pioneering role in champagne innovation throughout its history and has earned a distinguished reputation as a supplier to the Royal Household. In recognition of its quality and environmental responsibility, Laurent-Perrier was awarded the Royal Warrant by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1998, and has proudly worn it ever since, the only Maison to do so.

Committed to maintaining its long-standing relationship with The Royal Family, in 2018, Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt, holder of the Royal Warrant on behalf of Laurent-Perrier, presented the Prince of Wales with a special edition of His Royal Highness's 70th birthday label at a Prince's Trust dinner held at Buckingham Palace. Laurent-Perrier's relationship with His Majesty the King dates back to the 1970s, when he visited the winery with Lord Mountbatten and Bernard de Nonancourt on the occasion of the ‘Colleges of the United World’ in 1979.

Its success must also be attributed to the energy of the de Nonancourt family, led by the late Bernard de Nonancourt, who took the reins in 1948. Working in a demanding business environment, he preserved the independence of his Maison and its related values, taking it from being one of hundreds to one of the leading houses in the region. These same principles guide the current management team led by his two daughters, Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt and Stéphanie Meneux de Nonancourt.

Furthermore, as winegrowers and producers of fine Champagne wines, Laurent-Perrier is committed to putting an end to any practice or action that could irreparably damage the environment. This commitment is translated and applied in all activities, showing continuous respect for the environment and natural resources. The Maison's long-term viticulture and winemaking policy is based on sustainable methods.
